The Cap Companies

There are numerous cap companies out there and each of them have their own style and fit. There’s only one similarity amongst all of these companies. They all know a thing or two about making hats. These companies specialize in making the perfect cap for you and your style. During my travels, on the road and on the internet, I’ve compiled a list of some of the major cap companies that I’ve encountered and I think are worth mentioning.

New Era
New Era

The king of the fitted caps. One of the most widely known and versatile cap companies out on the market to date. New Era makes caps for just about any company, function, holiday, or group you can think of. If you like something, chances are New Era made a collaboration fitted with it.

A rising Los Angeles based company that’s been getting major recognition. Their collection is small compared to some of the other companies, but their caps are always quality and one of a kind. Official’s caps scream originality. Their unique styles and rarity have increased their popularity as well as reputation as a company that can hang with the best. If a boutique or store stocks Official brand caps, then they’re not afraid to break from the norm. Abnormality is the spice of life.

Mitchell and Ness
Mitchell and Ness

True sports fans will usually have one thing on their heads, and if it’s not horns, cheese, or something else equally stupid, it’s a Mitchell and Ness cap with their team’s logo on the front. They offer a wide variety of sports apparel as well as collaborate with other companies to create truly unique caps.

American Needle
American Needle

Another sportswear company that LOVES baseball. Their caps are far from the typical MLB caps you see everybody else wearing. Every one of their caps has to be different from the rest. They do a pretty good job at it too. They also do collabs every once in a while.

Flexfit
Flexfit

For those who like a more snug, classic fit, Flexfit features an elastic band around the inside of the cap that contours to any size head. Despite Flexfit not playing in the league of the “true” fitted companies, their number of collaborations with other companies rival that of even New Era. And New Era makes a LOT of caps.

Kangol
Kangol

Kangol’s caps are for classy acts. You’ll rarely see a Kangol cap that’s too loud or busy. You only get style and finesse with this company. Their simple designs using colors that don’t normally go over 60 dB accent any wearer’s style without overshadowing the wearer themself. They also do collabs with other companies. Classy companies…

Quintin
Quintin

Quintin is the “Originator of the 5 panel fitted.” Instead of going the route 99.9% of all cap companies go, Quintin thought that there weren’t enough 5 panels out there in the world. So they fixed that little problem by making more of them. The company’s failry new and have collabed with a few companies. I’m sure their popularity will soar soon enough.
